Reader Travelogue: Strands of history intertwine on tour of Mediterranean islands

St. Augustine is quoted: "The world is a great book and those who do not travel, read only a page." This trip was an attempt to read several pages in one experience. Although I have been to the Mediterranean area several times before and its beauty is unsurpassed, this trip to Greece and Turkey was primarily based on gaining knowledge.
